Kimberly Carstens grew up in Orange County, California and graduated with honors from the University of California, Irvine with bachelor's degrees in Biological Sciences and Psychology. After UCI, Ms. Carstens earned a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California. She practiced outpatient physical therapy for many years. While raising her family with her husband, Steve, she attended Concord Law School and was admitted to the California Bar.

Her practice of physical therapy provided her with the opportunity to help others, which is very useful in her current practice as an estate-planning attorney, focusing on estate planning, conservatorships and business transactions. She is a member of the Tulare County Bar Association, the Tulare-Kings Counties Estate Planning Council, and is a member of the board of Kaweah Health Hospice Foundation.

Ms. Carstens and her family moved to Exeter from Bakersfield in 2000, where her three children attended Exeter schools. Both of her daughters were student athletes, participating in three sports per year, and her son was a member of the marching and symphonic bands, as well as a mock trial participant. Mom was their constant cheerleader and supporter, as well as chaperone and fundraiser! So, although not a native of the Central Valley, this is now home for Kim and Steve. All three of their children are college graduates and now live in Southern California.

In her free time, Kim enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family, traveling with her husband Steve, including camping trips in their travel trailer, going to the beach, taking long walks, and listening to audio books. Kim also enjoys cooking and baking, often bringing treats to the office to share!
